The city is proud of its art galleries as well as its performance, and a trip to a gallery is a nice date for art lovers and those looking for something a little memorable. VOID is an artist-led not-for-profit gallery perched on the edge of the river, McGilloway is near the Tower museum and Gordon gallery, home to contemporary Irish art is near the Millennium Forum, a large theatre with a vibrant program.

4. Foyle Valley Cycle Route

The route takes in the surrounding towns of Lifford and Strabane and travels through the countryside as well as car-free paths in the city.

The waterfall is located in Ness Country Park (ness actually means waterfall in Irish), and as well as the gorgeous Burntollet River to stroll alongside, you and your date can expect to spot red squirrels whilst munching on a romantic picnic in one of the many wildflower meadows in the forest.

6. Guildhall

Admire the stunning stained glass windows and bask in the glorious Guildhall Square. 7. Walk the 17th Century Walls
